Guardians like Kutaye and Bizunesh have taken on the role of being a mother to raise orphan and vulnerable children.
As we prepare to celebrate Mother’s Day on 13 May 2018, we take this opportunity to celebrate and appreciate all the hard working guardians who are mother figures to children who have lost their parents. These women go above and beyond to support the children under their care despite the unbelievable hardships they face.
“I used to have a hard time to provide him shoes even, because I had nothing. I lost my family and everyone who could help me. Now thank God I got the support and all his needs were covered (school fees, books, cloths, among others) until he can support himself.” expressed the guardian of Ejigu, a young man who graduated from the program just 4 months ago; now is employed and takes care of himself.
Join us in celebrating the incredible guardians who are the mother figures children who have lost their mothers.
